Jamtamot is one of the oldest students' fraternities in
Uppsala and certainly the oldest of
the students' nation of Norrland.
It was founded in 1907 and, after a period of decline after 1910,
Jamtamot was revived as "Jamtamot Redivivum" in February 1915.
Its purpose is to create and maintain friendship among its members from
the provinces ("landskapen")
Jamtland and Herjeådalen, and raise their
interest in the culture and traditions of their native homeland.
